Moss or no moss? That was the question. Well— you never know how someone will interpret what you say. Let me share the latest.
We polled our followers this spring about whether or not to remove the moss from the Chessboard Garden walkways. For the most part, the poll was a 50/50 split which confirmed there are good reasons for both choices.
I asked the pressure washing man if he could take off about 50% of the moss so I could see what it looked like thinking he would do a light pressure wash of the whole space to remove 50% of the moss, lightening its presence without scouring it. His interpretation is shown in the photo. ;)
Needless to say, with 50% of the bricks washed completely clean, the moss has been completely removed this year. It does grow back, so I can have more decisions to make next year. Thank you all for sharing your thoughts.
